TD offers a large variety of credit cards in various categories. The big Canadian bank boasts great options, regardless of what you’re in the market for: whether it’s a great no-fee card, competitive travel rewards or a card with top-notch cash back offers. Check out a few of TD’s fan favourites.
It’s not a surprise that the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Card is one of TD’s most popular credit cards — especially among Canadians who love to travel. Using this card is one of the best ways to collect Aeroplan Miles, which can be redeemed for seats on Air Canada flights.
You’ll earn 1.5 miles for every $1 spent using your card on eligible grocery, gas, drugstore and aircanada.com purchases, plus one mile for every $1 spent on all other purchases. On top of that, you can earn twice the amount of miles when you shop at participating retailers or on the Aeroplan e-store. Best of all? Aeroplan miles never expire.
The TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Card also has an exciting special offer: if you apply by May 30, 2021, and are approved, you can earn a one-time use Air Canada Buddy Pass when you book an economy flight and spend at least $1,000 on the card in the first 90 days (unfortunately this offer isn't available to Quebec residents). The annual fee of $139 is well worth it when you consider the benefits — which also include an extensive suite of travel insurance, a complimentary checked bag, and priority check-in and boarding on Air Canada flights.

Looking for the best of the best of cashback cards? Then the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card is for you. This card boasts 3% cash back on eligible grocery and gas purchases, as well as on regularly recurring bill payments. You’ll earn 1% cashback on all other purchases made with your card, in addition to a generous welcome bonus of 6% cashback during your first three months up to a total spend of $2,000 (offer not available in Quebec). In case those benefits weren’t enough, there’s more. Cardholders can redeem their cashback dollars to help pay down their account balance and cashback dollars never expire. Cardholders will also have access to emergency road service, TD travel medical insurance, and more. Frequent use of this card will more than pay for the $120 annual fee.

Meet TD, the second-largest of Canada’s Big Five Banks. TD has a wide variety of credit cards to choose from, the majority of which are offered through Visa. TD also has a strong partnership with popular loyalty program Aeroplan, where cardholders can earn and redeem miles for plenty of great rewards.
Here are some of the other great benefits you’ll get when you choose a TD credit card.
TD has made paying with your credit card a breeze through Apple Pay. All of its credit cards are accessible via Apple Pay, meaning you can add your TD credit card to your Apple iPhone or iWatch and enjoy the security, simplicity and convenience of paying with your mobile device.
Keeping track of your credit card usage has never been easier. The TD mobile banking app allows you access to everything you’ll need when it comes to your account — all while on the go. You’ll be able to view your account activity, transfer money between accounts, pay bills, send money using Interac e-Transfers®, plus have access to your credit card statements. A recent app update also added the ability to view pending transactions on your credit card account in real time.
Many of TD’s most popular credit cards give you access to TD’s rewards program. With the program you’ll collect points when you make purchases with your card, which can then be redeemed for travel, merchandise, and gift cards. You’ll also have the option to redeem your points for cash, or towards a credit at HigherEdPoints — a program that transforms loyalty program points into payments for school.
As one of Canada’s most popular loyalty programs, Aeroplan has partnerships with hundreds of companies and brands. TD has a number of Aeroplan cards to choose from, and miles collected while using your TD Aeroplan card can be used towards discounts on travel, merchandise and more.
TD Canada Trust, formerly known as the Toronto-Dominion Bank, and before that, the Bank of Toronto, first opened its doors in 1856. In 2000, the bank merged with Canada Trust, and is now the second largest of the Big Five Canadian banks.
Long known for its emphasis on great customer service, TD takes care of the little things, like staying open longer than its competitors and giving free financial advice. TD also has a large portfolio of credit cards, made larger by its recent purchase of MBNA Canada. The bank now offers a broad spectrum of Mastercard products, in addition to its excellent TD Visa selection.
Once it’s safe to travel for non-essential purposes, a road trip might be in order. But don’t let your spending get out of hand.
Opened a joint bank account? Added your partner to your car insurance policy? Bravo, lovers.
